This blog presents a moderate’s perpective on why the maverick Senator John McCain is singuarly qualified to become our next President.

While representing arguably 30% of the electorate, moderates are routinely squeezed out of the political debate by rancorous pundits on the extremes.

- highlight moderate priorities in the coming electoral discussions

- illustrate the considerable overlap between moderate and conservative agendas

About the blogger….

Like many Americans, I’m a multi-tasking product of our unique pluralistic society; a Jane-of-many-trades; a very busy person. My numerous hats include:

- a part-time Nat’l Guard officer involved with homeland security training, coordinating and resourcing with the State.

- a full-time public lands manager committed to healthy ecosystems by working closely with recreationists, landowners, ranchers, private sector, environmental groups, local communities, non-profits, State agencies, and the media.

- a newly active member of the GOP; a long-time advocate for the environment

- wife of an Nat’l Guard aviator in Iraq; mother of a Nat’l Guard linguist at training

- an involved citizen
