Kissinger embraces McCain

11Apr07

The Preeminent Statesman Henry Kissinger Nobel Peace Prize winner and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger does not bandy about his endorsements capriciously. No doubt, the preeminent statesman of our time carefully considered a myriad of implications before officially declaring his support for John McCain’s presidential bid. During this period of protracted war, national anxiety and international turmoil, Kissinger’s endorsement signals a special and important confidence in the Senator.

“The world’s challenges are radically changing and our country needs John McCain’s experience and optimism,” said Kissinger. “His record, character, and belief that America’s best days lie ahead make John McCain the right leader for these times.”

Kissinger’s confidence in John McCain is likewise shared by three notable American diplomats. Former Secretary of States George P. Schultz, Gen. Alexander Haig, and Lawrence S. Eagleburger officially endorsed the Senator today as well.
